These Terms & Conditions apply to bookings and travel services supplied by New Zealand National Travel (“we”, “us” or “our”). By making a booking, paying a deposit or balance, or participating in a service, the customer and all persons included in the booking agree to these terms.
1. Bookings and Contract
A booking is not confirmed until New Zealand National Travel has accepted the booking and any required deposit or payment has been received. Availability shown before confirmation is indicative only. The person making the booking confirms that they are authorised to accept these terms on behalf of all travellers included in the booking and is responsible for providing accurate passenger, contact, pickup and special-requirement information.
2. Prices and Payment
Unless stated otherwise, prices are in New Zealand dollars (NZD) and include GST (15%) where applicable. The price, deposit, balance due date and inclusions shown in the booking confirmation form part of the contract. For day tours and transfers, full payment is required upon booking. For multi-day itineraries, a 25% deposit is payable upon confirmation, with the remaining balance due 7 days before departure.
🛡️ 3. Customer Cancellation Ladder
Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing via email or WhatsApp as soon as possible. Unless a different policy is stated in a specific quotation, the following standard cancellation schedule applies:

Where the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or other mandatory law provides greater rights, those rights prevail.
4. Changes Requested by Customer
Requests to change dates, passenger numbers, pickup locations or itinerary routing are subject to vehicle and chauffeur availability. We make every reasonable effort to accommodate adjustments without penalties whenever possible.
5. Changes and Delays by New Zealand National Travel
New Zealand travel is subject to alpine weather conditions, road closures, and natural events. New Zealand National Travel reserves the right to make reasonable alterations to routes, stops, or vehicle allocations where necessary for safety. If New Zealand National Travel cancels a service and no alternative is agreeable, a full refund is provided.
6. Children and Mandatory Child Restraints
Under New Zealand Land Transport Rule: Operator Licensing 2017 and Road User Rule 2004, all children aged under 7 years must be secured in an approved, correctly fitted child restraint seat. Customers must notify us of children's exact ages prior to departure. Child safety seats are provided by New Zealand National Travel at $15/seat/day.
7. Luggage Capacity and Property
Passengers are responsible for their luggage and personal belongings. Each vehicle has a certified maximum luggage capacity. Overloading luggage poses a legal safety hazard under NZ transport law; excess luggage may require additional transport at the passenger's expense.
8. Travel Insurance
New Zealand National Travel strongly advises all international and domestic travellers to obtain comprehensive travel insurance covering medical emergency, baggage loss, flight disruption, and trip cancellation.
9. Governing Law
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.
